All day drinks and dining on the sixth floor

Every day of the week we serve cleverly crafted cocktails and contemporary cuisine in The Willaston Bar and The Granary Café. Come and unwind and enjoy our ever-evolving drinks list and seasonal menus put together by our innovative dining team led masterfully by Executive Chef, Veronica Canha-Hibbert.

Towering above the Cape’s picturesque Table Bay, the sixth floor of The Silo Hotel maximises views through its high pillowed-glass windows. Diners are invited to relax, settle in, and absorb the natural beauty of the surroundings while your taste buds explore the intuitively created menu.

Dinner in The Granary Café

Dinner in The Granary Café is about enjoying contemporary cuisine in an extraordinary space. This is The Silo Hotel’s flagship food experience that incorporates the kitchen crew’s remarkable true potential in the magnificent location of the sixth-floor restaurant.

Executive Chef, Veronica Canha-Hibbert, creates food that inherits this intriguing style and uses honest, whole ingredients in fascinating ways that showcase the diversity of food and cooking methodology.

The Silo Rooftop

The Silo Rooftop is ideal for a casual lunch or signature sunset cocktails with spectacular panoramic views of Cape Town from the tallest building in the V&A Waterfront. This dining experience is about relaxed, alfresco eating, conversations with friends, and celebrating the sunshine in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Sunny weather permitting, The Silo Rooftop is open every day and welcomes non-resident guests via reservation. Admire Table Mountain and let the sea air fill your lungs as you tuck into sharing platters and enjoy a glass of bubbly.

Wisdom Rooms Private Dining

Private dining in The Wisdom Room

We cater for private dining groups of up to 22 people in our exclusive glass-fronted Wisdom Room, named after the last ship to ever take grain to Europe from the grain silo in 1995 – a nod to the hotel’s previous existence.

Friends, families, and colleagues celebrating milestones and special occasions can book an entirely private dining affair and enjoy the extraordinary culinary skills of our kitchen in a way that has been tailored for you.

Wine tasting

Wine tasting in Cape Town is a summer holiday bucket-list item, and we encourage you to explore the historic working farms. The quality of these wines has attracted some of the world’s very talented chefs and restaurateurs, so there is a food scene en route that takes a wine tasting experience to the next level.

An easy 50-minute road journey from The Silo Hotel will take you to the quaint and historically preserved town of Franschhoek, “the gourmet and wine capital of South Africa”. Be sure to visit our sister hotel, La Residence, and enjoy the wines from our very own vineyards.
